Victorious Vics at Aus Champs in Tassie The Australian Championships carnival in Tasmania kicked off on Good Friday with the Australian Sprint Champs. A compact school campus was made more complicated with well thought out use of artificial barriers, and a maze to run through on approach to the final controls. Courses were fast and furious, with most winning times at the shorter end of the scale. Victorians took out the prestigious M21E class with Aston Key winning by 13 seconds. Stepping up onto the podium with third was Torren Arthur, just 18 seconds behind Aston – a great run by Torren. With Patrick Jaffe taking 5th and Jensen Key 9th, the Vic Vikings made a fantastic start to the 4 day competition. Not to be outdone, Milla Key comfortably won W20E, in exactly the same time as Aston – 12:17!
