Park Street Update, July 15-21 – Take The EndurO Challenge!

We have our second EndurO coming up next Saturday July 19, on the wonderful Springthorpe map in Bundoora, starting from the car park on Trott Avenue. Course setter Russell Bulman has prepared a colour A3 map, with 40 controls. Using Maprun, you’ll have two hours or 90 minutes (your choice), to visit as many controls as you can, and score loads of points! But beware, there are penalties if you go over the time limit, so plan accordingly! Springthorpe contains lots of parkland and forest, as well as nice quiet urban streets. It’s one of our favourites, and perfect for an EndurO. Registration will open from 1.30pm, and everyone will start at 2pm. Entry is just $6 for adults and $4 for juniors (u21), and your result counts towards the overall Saturday Series scores. Payment accepted by card or cash.

This Saturday is also the final Geelong Winter series event, so if you are down that way, head to Bunyip Pool, Fyansford Common, Hamilton Highway. Choose a 60 minute Run or Power Walk, and be ready to start at 2pm. Other events this week are Waterford Valley on Wednesday July 16, and Gently Bentleigh on Monday July 21 – both with next to no contours, so if hills are not your thing, come along!  Find out more at www.vicorienteering.asn.au/parkstreet
