MelbushO at Westerfolds Park, Sunday 19 July WESTERFOLDS PARK MELBUSHO, SUNDAY 19 JULY – orienteering’s worst kept secret?? Information and online entry – closes Thursday 16 July. It’s no secret that everyone loves orienteering at Westerfolds Park. Last year we had 200 eager participants, and with a sunny 17 degrees forecast for next Sunday, we think we can go even bigger! But Westerfolds still has some secret spots waiting to be discovered; our course setter has managed to unearth a previously unused area that we’re sure you will enjoy and be challenged by. The whole park is looking an absolute picture. Look forward to lovely open, runnable forest, grassy slopes, popular paths and hidden riverside trails. Toilets, BBQ/picnic areas and parking are all conveniently close. Treat yourself to a great day out in this amazing park! We strongly recommend pre-entering – last year’s entry on the day queues were pretty long, so save yourself time and money, and secure a map for your preferred course, by clicking the link below, and entering online before this Thursday’s deadline. Choose any of the five courses: Course 1 (Long Hard) – 6 km Course 2 (Medium Hard) – 4.5 km Course 3 (Short Hard) – 3.5 km Course 4 (Moderate) – 4 km Course 5 (Easy) – 2.5 km Directions: enter via the Porter Street entry gate, and park in the car park just north of the large picnic shelter.
