MelBushO at Tikalara, Sunday August 4 – Results and Photos Wow – just under 180 entries! The organising crew was kept very busy all morning. Great to see the juniors step up to the plate and knock it out of the park; led by course setter Ash White, and ably assisted by Callum, Brody, Maya, Matt and Josh (and parents/club members). The park is a great mix of open ground punctuated by small watercourses (and lots of kangaroos); remnant bushland along the Mullum Mullum Creek, which becomes more open as you head up the slopes; and even some erosion features. Fences and creek crossings provided several route choice options – my favourite leg on Course 3 was 3-4, which had a lot to think about and required several different tactics. While my feet stayed dry, others didnt fare so well, and tales of compasses and SI sticks copping a drenching were heard back at the Finish.
