Victorian Success at MTBO Nationals

It’s been a huge couple of weeks for Mountain Bike Orienteering, with the NSW Champs, followed by the Australian Champs in the ACT – that’s a lot of riding!  This year’s Champs saw the biggest fields at a MTBO carnival for some time, with strong representation from New Zealand.  There was also a feature article appearing on ABC News – great publicity.  https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-10-21/sport-mountain-bike-orienteering/104497898

Victoria took out the overall Elite and Masters titles for 2024, winning the OA Champion State Plaque for the first time since 2015!  This caps off an amazing year for Victorian mountain bike orienteering, with juniors Maya Bennette and Lucas Kent performing strongly on the world stage at the Junior World Championships in Bulgaria.
