Pure Gold Was Pure Fun Thanks to everyone who took part in our Pure Gold 3-day weekend. We had a number of interstaters, some of whom told us they came along for the famous cheese toasties! Gorgeous winter weather, technical terrain, tough courses, and a dedicated team of organisers delivered a memorable weekend. The finale of the Vic Autumn Series provided plenty of excitement as everyone vied for valuable points. The Middle Distance Champs were a true test of navigational skills in highly detailed gold mining with no respite, and our Bah Humbug sprint capped off the weekend perfectly. Congratulations to all the weekend winners, including a new crop of Victorian Champions. Saturday Results and Splits Sunday Results and Splits Monday Results and Splits On behalf of DROC and MFR, huge thanks go to Dion Keech, Vic Sedunary, Roch Prendergast and Warwick Williams, for three days of course planning and advising; and to Jim Russell for his indefatigable and always cheerful support. Our volunteers were led by Peter Yeates on infrastructure, Ian Dodd on timing systems, Anne Arthur on starts, Fredrik Johansson on map presentation, Ilze Yeates and Tina Smith on Registration, and the Love family on volunteer welfare! We are already planning for a similar weekend in 2020 … Middle Distance Winners - Photos See the photos of the winners and at the finish line. View Here Share this
