Park Street Update, October 7-13 Summer Series is finally here!!! Enjoy competing in daylight, keep fit for summer, and give your brain a workout at the same time. Events are on all over Melbourne, four nights a week. Enter and pay at registration from 6.15pm; start any time between 6.30pm and 7pm. Choose from one of four Run (Scatter) courses, ranging in length from 3 to 10 km, or tackle a 65 minute Power Walker (Score) course. Entry fees are $6 for adults, and $4 for juniors (under 21). Payment can be made by cash or card, or you can use a 10-event MultiPass. Winter Series presentations will be held on Wednesday October 8, at Arrabri. There is a BBQ, toilets, shelter – and daylight, so bring along something to eat and drink, and a chair. Check the final scores at Monday Overall and Wednesday Overall. If you are a member of a club, you can buy discounted Season Tickets! Check the prices and the savings here – they’ll be on sale during the first 3 weeks, at registration – pay by card, cash or bank transfer. Not a club member? Join after October 1, and get free membership for the first 3 months! New memberships are valid until 31 December 2026. Tonight, Tuesday Series begins at Travancore, starting from the Essendon Hockey Centre, in Melbourne’s inner north west. On Wednesday we’ll be at Colchester in the outer east, starting from Canterbury Gardens in Bayswater North. Thursday’s kick-off event is at Mt Eagle, starting from Ivanhoe Station. And next Monday, head to Highbury Hill, starting from Tally Ho Reserve, Bennett Avenue, Mt Waverley. Take the train – it’s free for seniors this week!
