MSW 2022 Results

What a fantastic, intense 3 day weekend of sprint racing we had!  It all began with the mind-bending multi-level map of Latrobe University, followed by a World Ranking event on the complex new map at Assumption College, Kilmore. Day 2 featured another new campus map, Manor Lakes, which had a multitude of fences and gates which made map contact essential.  Sunday afternoon brought a change of scene as we tackled Gellibrand Hill, a bush map with scattered granite.

The final day began with a return to Yarra Valley Grammar, with its many courtyards and corridors; a great venue to stage the first two Knockout rounds, along with Race 5.  The grand finale was held on a wonderful new map at Whitefriars College, where tired brains and legs were challenged in the best way possible.

All results can be found on Eventor, and splits for all races, including the four Knockouts, are on Winsplits. Click here to view the Overall Standings.

There are some incredible photos on the Orienteering Australia facebook page.  A more detailed Weekend Wrap, with the race maps and more photos, will appear on the Melbourne Sprint Weekend page soon.
