Ballarat Classic Bush Orienteering, Sunday 21 June

Date: Sunday, 21st June
Registration opens 9:30; Courses open 10-12.30; Courses close 2:00 pm

Directions: Take Glenelg Highway (B160) from Ballarat to Linton; turn right into Linton-Carngham Road (o-sign); turn left into Kelly’s (o-sign) and follow dirt road past cemetery to intersection with Possum Gully Road.

Toilets: No toilets at the arena; nearest toilets in Linton
Water: No water on the courses, but limited quantity at the arena

Courses:

    • Course 1 – 10 km
    • Course 2 – 7 km
    • Course 3 – 4.4 km Hard navigation, physically
    • Course 4 – 3.2 km Hard navigation, easier physically
    • Course 5 – 7-8 km Trail run – run on tracks and trails: easy navigation
    • Course 6 – 3.9 km Intermediate navigation, Medium physically
    • Course 7 – 3.7 km Long beginners
    • Course 8 – 2.5 Short beginners

Entry fees: Adults $12, Juniors $6; Entry-on-day Adults $15, Juniors $6
Timing: Sportident will be used controls set in “air” mode. SI Sticks will be available for loan at registration.

On the day procedure: park on one side of the road as directed; bring your SI stick to the registration tent; give your car rego number, phone number and SI number to official; take a map for your course; when ready, go to pre-start, punch start control, return to finish before 2 pm, thank the Eureka volunteers and enjoy the bush atmosphere in this beautiful forest!
