MFR Dominates Club Relays at Argyle

Congratulations to Melbourne Forest Racers, who have won the Rockhopper Trophy in a dominating performance at the Victorian Club Relays at Argyle, near Heathcote.  MFR were out in force, fielding 10 teams and arriving in a mini van.  They went on to win Courses 1, 2 and 5, with second places on Courses 1, 2 and 3.  Dandenong Ranges OC was the next best club, winning Course 4, and placing on Course 1 and 5.  In third place was Yarra Valley OC, with a win on Course 3 and a placing on Course 2.

Our thanks to Craig, Jim, Neil, and the Bendigo OC for mapping, planning courses, and organising the event – delayed several times over the last 2 years.  The area was really enjoyable and challenging, and having wet feet for much of the event is a novelty for Australian orienteers!
