Ted Wins Silver At WMOC

Congratulations to Ted van Geldermalsen for winning a Silver medal at the World Masters Orienteering Championships in Girona, Spain, in the Long Distance.  The Final, like all the races during WMOC week, was held in hot conditions, with an early and shortened start window.

This capped off a great week for Ted after 5th plae in the Sprint and 8th in the Middle Distance. Bruce Arthur was very unlucky to miss the podium, placing 4th in the Sprint, just 1 second down.

Ted’s last forest WMOC medal was also a silver, back in 2009 in Sydney.  He also won a bronze medal in the Sprint in 2024.
