OV – The First 50 Years – The 2010s

Victorian Sprint Champs, Bendigo, 2016

This year is the 50th anniversary of the VOA (now OV). Over the last few weeks, Belinda Dale (YVOC) has been providing a summary of the history of orienteering in Victoria, starting with the first event, in 1969 and then by the decade.

The history can be read on a progressive basis both in the weekly newsletter and here on the OV website.

The final installment is covered this week – the 2010s, where digitisation changed the way events were run, and sprint orienteering took off.
