MelBushO at Maroondah Reservoir on Sunday March 28

Our third MelbushO for March was held in the graceful surrounds of Maroondah Reservoir Park, just past Healesville. The trees were starting to show their autumn colours. The terrain was a mix of grassy slopes with scattered trees, some thick vegetation where staying on the tracks was well advised; numerous small man made features such as rotundas and picnic tables; and one really large man made feature – the dam wall!  Running across this while admiring the expansive view across the water, was a highlight.

Plenty of newcomers tried their hand at navigating around the courses; though we couldn’t persuade the visiting lizard (or its owner) to have a go!

Thanks to Ruth and the Yarra Valley crew who put on a highly enjoyable event.

Look out for the next MelbushO on Sunday May 9, at Banksia Park in Bulleen, followed a week later by Westerfolds Park in Templestowe.

MelBushO events are perfect for newcomers.  There are five courses ranging in difficulty from Hard to Easy, and of varying lengths, so you’ll always find something to challenge you at the right level.  Sportident electronic timing is used, and all events will have SI AIR enabled, for contactless punching.

You can register and start any time between 10am and 11.30am, with all courses closing at 1pm.  Entry is $12 for adults and $6 for juniors under 21, and includes a colour map and course of your choice, as well as equipment loan and newcomer coaching.

MelBushO events in 2021 will be held in accordance with our Covid Safe Plan.
