Ballarat Classic 1, Sunday 15 March

Sunday 15 March at Chapel Flat in the Creswick Forest.

Courses will have two distinctly different challenges – they will include traditional Creswick spur/gully and gold mining terrain as well as some legs in open but low visibility pine plantations. This is an unusual challenge for Victorian orienteers.

6 courses will be offered – 4 with hard navigation, from 9.9 km down to 2.2 km, as well as a moderate and an easy course. Starts 10 am to 2 pm.

Entry fees are VOA seniors $12, Juniors $6, Casual Seniors $15, Juniors $9

EOD availability for all courses but is an additional $3 to the prices above.

Start between 10-12 with courses closing at 2pm.

Directions to Assembly area : Exit the Ballarat bi-pass at Brown Hill; turn right into Daylesford Road and then turn left in 400m into Springs Road; turn left at junction of White Swan Road; at the top of the hill (5-ways) CAUTION when turning right into Codes Forest Road (gravel); bear right into James Hill Road; turn left into Shuttleworth Road; turn left into Wolfe’s Road  and then park on one side of Wolfe’s Road at the Chapel Flat arena.
