2020 Australian and Victorian MTBO Championships cancelled 2020 Australian and Victorian MTBO Championships cancelled Unfortunately, this year’s Australian and Victorian MTBO Championships have both had to be cancelled due to the current Coronavirus situation. The restrictions for competitors from other states to be able to attend the Australian Champs in NSW has meant that the Newcastle organising team have had to cancel the events. They will be running some events on the 19-20 September weekend for local NSW riders, but the prepared maps and courses will be transferred to the 2021 Championships and will be held 17-19 September 2021. Likewise, with the current situation in Victoria, the 2020 Victorian MTBO Championships, due to be held 17-18 of October in Maryborough, have had to be cancelled. We would not be able to get an event permit from DEWLP in the time remaining. Also, due to the current restrictions, the organising teams are unable to visit the map sites for the foreseeable future. However, the 2021 Victorian Championships using the same Maryborough and Dunolly maps, will be held earlier next year with the dates now set at 17-18 April 2021.
