Pete Joins Millennium Club Hall of Fame; Milestones for Stuart and Peter B

It’s time to acknowledge and celebrate three new Millennium Club Milestones!  Please join me in congratulating our latest Hall of Famer, Legend, and Companion members.  All will receive accolades at the Awards Night on Wednesday 27 March.

Peter Yeates (below right) became the 3rd Hall of Famer at Deepdene on Wednesday 17 January, achieving the incredible milestone of 2500 events, and becoming a Heritage Legend.  Pete is our Saturday Series coordinator, many time course setter, and is always on hand to help out newcomers.

Stuart McWilliam (below left) achieved Legend status at Merri Creek South on Thursday 18 January, after completing 1000 events.  Of course that is just his Melbourne tally – Stuart spent many years orienteering in Sydney before making the move south.

Peter Beggs  completed his 750th event at Brunswick Park on Tuesday 9 January, to achieve Companion status.  Peter has made many maps and set many courses, and is a keen supporter of the Geelong and Surfside series as well as the Tuesday series.
