Vic Series at Chewton Diggings on Sunday 25 August

Melbourne Forest Racers welcomes orienteering back to Chewton Diggings! The event will take place in the beautiful Box Iron Bark forest in Chewton which is part of the Castlemaine Heritage park. The forest in August may well be bursting with colour from the wattles, orchids and other native flora which abound. The terrain is gully-spur with extensive gold mining detail across most of the map. Courses finish in some mature pine forest coupes as well as some young pine forest coupes to add variety and enjoyment. There are courses to suit the beginner orienteer through to the experienced orienteer!

Castlemaine township is only minutes away. With its galleries, vintage shops, numerous cafes and other delights it is a day to mark in your calendars not to be missed. Entry through Eventor is preferred however, some entry on the day is available.
