Orienteering Australia Junior Development Camp, Beechworth, 15-20 December 2023

Four full days and two half days of orienteering plus lots of other fun! What could be better? These camps are an incredible experience, not only the orienteering but living and enjoying life with other like-minded juniors. The camp is open to ALL junior orienteers born 2011 or earlier. Athletes 20+ years old are encouraged to attend as coaches/helpers and can also do the training activities, including some specifically designed for elites.

Each training event includes activities for:
– those at Moderate course level
– those moving from Moderate to Hard courses
– those at Hard course level

The 2023 camp is based around the historic and beautiful Beechworth, Victoria. This area features some of the best terrain available with a mix of fantastic spur-gully, rock and gold mining. Training activities include specific techniques for navigating each type of terrain as well as general orienteering skills development. Other activities include swimming at Lake Sambell and Woolshed Falls, a spooky tour, and a few surprises…

Registration will open by the end of August. Keep an eye on Eventor and this weekly bulletin for updates.
