Park Street Summer Series

Summer Series starts at the beginning of October each year, and finishes at the end of the following March (the daylight savings period).

Events are on every week in metro Melbourne on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings; in Geelong on Thursday evenings; Surfside on Saturdays in January; and the Mornington Peninsula, once a month on Sundays.

Running courses range from 3-10 km, and there is a 60 minute power walking course.  For runners the format is Scatter (visit a designated number of controls in any order, first back wins), and for power walkers the format is Score format (visit as many controls as you can in the allocated time, highest points score wins).

Wear jogging/walking shoes and comfortable, light coloured clothing.  Bring a watch and a drink.

WHEN ARE THE EVENTS HELD?

In Melbourne, events are held every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night.  You can start any time between 6.30pm and 7.00pm.  For runners there are four courses to choose from, varying from approx 3 to 10 km.   You must return to the Finish no later than 8.15pm.  For Power Walkers, you have 65 minutes, or until 8.05pm, to complete your course; after that, you will lose points for each minute or part minute over that time. If you return after 8.15pm, your result will appear as DNF.

Regional events are held in Geelong, Surfside, and Mornington Peninsula.  Check the Coming Events list to see start and finish times.

HOW DO I ENTER AND CHECK IN?

You can register and pay when you arrive at the event.  Cost: $6 per event for adults, $4 for juniors (under 21).  Payment is accepted by cash or card.

You can purchase a Season Pass (discounted entry to a specified series, for club members only) or a MultiPass (upfront payment by credit card for multiple events, valid at any series). Find out more about Passes.

There is no requirement to pre-enter online. When you arrive, use the OTrack Event Entry form to register for the event.  Show the confirmation screen to Registration. We recommend adding the OTrack page to your phone screen, for fast, easy event entry.  Find out more about OTrack

All events use MapRun, a GPS based smartphone app which you can download from your regular app store.  You can opt to use a control card and pen instead. Make sure you have the latest version of MapRun on your phone, or MapRunG on your Garmin or Apple watch.  Ask for assistance at Registration.  Find out more about MapRun

HOW DO I SEE MY RESULTS?

The MapRun Leaderboard shows results as they are uploaded. These results are provisional only.  The series scorer will review them before publishing the official results and the series scores.  You can follow the official results week by week, and check the overall standings, here.  You can also see an archive of results going back for a number of years.  Presentations are made to the top three placegetters in each Division, at the end of each series.
