SUMMER SERIES – MAKING OUR WAY BACK

1 – SUMMER ANYTIME SERIES (SAS) – from October 4 2021

  • Milestone: 80% of adults have received a single vaccination dose (expected date September 26)
  • Restrictions:  15 km travel radius.  5 fully vaccinated people, or 2 unvaccinated people, can exercise together.

During October 2021, Summer Series will operate in Anytime mode.  Four new maps will be published each Monday. You’ll be able to download them, and use MapRun to complete courses any time you choose.  Your best performance for the week will be scored in the Results.  Find out more.

Note that events during October may occur on dates that differ from those in the printed fixture.  Check the online Coming Events list for correct dates.

2 – SUMMER TRAINING – late October to early November 2021

  • Milestone: 70% of adults are fully vaccinated (expected date October 26)
  • Restrictions:  25 km travel radius.  Groups of 10 (fully vaccinated), maximum 50

Free in-person training sessions will be offered, using fixtured maps. Anytime options will remain in place.

3 – SUMMER SERIES COMPETITION – early November 2021

  • Milestone: 80% of adults are fully vaccinated (expected date November 5)
  • Restrictions:  no travel limit.  Groups of 30 (fully vaccinated), maximum 500

Summer Series competition will resume, under our Covid Safe Plan.

The 2021-22 Summer Series features events all over Melbourne (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays), as well as Geelong (Thursdays), the Surf Coast (Saturdays in January), and the Mornington Peninsula (one Sunday per month).   All events will operate in accordance with covid restrictions.

HOW TO FIND AN EVENT

  • Pick up a printed fixture at an event
  • Download and print your own fixture
  • Find event details via our online Coming Events listList updated 15 September with correct dates for Summer Anytime Series.
  • Check Eventor – events are currently being uploaded up to 4 weeks in advance.  Summer Anytime Series details appear on Mondays throughout October.  
  • Download calendar files (csv) from here – you can edit the file to include the series you plan to attend, then import it to your device’s calendar.  File updated on 15 September, with correct dates for Summer Anytime Series.

HOW DO I ENTER AND CHECK IN?

You may be required to pre-enter online, depending on covid restrictions and gathering limits. 

You can register and start any time during the start window, which is generally 30 minutes.

When you arrive, first check in by scanning the Services Victoria QR code on your phone, for contact tracing purposes. 

Next, use the OTrack Event Entry form to register for the event.  Show the confirmation screen to Registration. We recommend adding the OTrack page to your phone screen, for fast, easy event entry.

We’ll assist you at Registration if needed, and can check in on your behalf if you don’t have a Smartphone.

All events will offer MapRun; you can opt to use a control card (BYO pen) instead at most events (Tuesdays and Geelong excepted). Make sure you have MapRun6 on your phone, or MapRunG on your Garmin. Find out more about MapRun

Payment – you can purchase a Season Pass (upfront discounted payment for all events in a nominated series; or a MultiPass (upfront payment by credit card for multiple events, valid at any series). These are available online via secure Square payment – ask for the link by emailing [email protected]   Cash is only accepted in the correct amount – NOTES PREFERRED PLEASE.

Can’t make it to an event?  Event maps are published the following day, for unofficial use (no results).
