Ballarat Spring Events, October 8 and 15

Coming up in the next couple of weeks, Eureka Orienteers will be running the two Ballarat Winter Series events that were postponed from June. Now that an El Niño weather pattern has kicked in, we figure we’d better run these before we find ourselves in heatwave conditions!

  • Yuille Wetlands (left image), which was postponed due to awful weather conditions the week beforehand, will now be held on Sunday October 8th.
  • Lake Daylesford (right image), which was postponed because the popular “Borealis On The Lake” event surprised us by installing their equipment across Bill Borrie and Sarah Corfe’s excellent courses, will happen the following week, on Sunday October 15th.

Starts for both are between 10 and noon, with four to five courses on offer. Both events will be ideal for beginners and experienced orienteers alike and would be good preparation for the Summer Shorts series, starting from October 22nd at Jells Park.

Both events are open now for pre-entry on Eventor, with further info and event locations available on Eventor at the following hyperlinks

Yuille Wetlands and  Lake Daylesford.

See you there!
