Park Street Update: Anzac Week Events, April 22-27

Our feature event in Melbourne this week is BLACKBURN CREEKLANDS on Saturday April 27.  Start from the scout hall on Pakenham Street – extra parking in Garie Street (none available on Pakenham St).

You’ll explore the tranquil trails either side of Gardiners Creek, as well as the beautiful leafy lanes that this area is well known for, in the heart of the Bellbird area.  Everyone starts at 2pm, and you can socialize afterwards with the maps, cakes, and hot drinks.  Choose from a 45 minute Run, a 60 minute Run, or a 65 minute Power Walk, while you collect as many points as you can within your time limit.  Register between 1.30pm and 1.50pm, and be ready to start at 2pm.  Entry is just $6 for adults and $4 for kids.  Please bring a small plate of afternoon tea to share.

All events this week:

  • Mon Apr 22 – Ringwood Wilds, with another new start location at the Ringwood Croquet Club (mallets optional). Start between 6.30pm and 7pm.
  • Tue Apr 23 – Altona Central, starting from the corner of Pier and Blyth Streets.  Stay on for the dinner afterwards.  Start between 6.30 and 7pm.
  • Wed Apr 24 – Cathies Creek, Wantirna, from new start location Wakley Reserve.
  • Thu Apr 25 – special Waterford Valley Re-Run, from Karoo Road Reserve, Rowville, starting at 2pm.
  • Sat Apr 27 – Blackburn Creeklands – from the Scout Hall on Pakenham Street (overflow parking in Garie Street, no parking on Pakenham St).  Start at 2pm, cakes and tea/coffee afterwards

It’s now Score format for all courses – take notice of the time limit, and bring a torch at night. All events use Maprun, so bring your phone with the latest version loaded.  Choose from a 60 min or 45 min Run, or a 65 min Power Walk. Entry $6 adults, $4 juniors, pay by cash or card.  All the info you need is here.

Season Passes offer discounted entries for club members- check prices here. If you’d like the convenience of a 10-event MultiPass, they are back on sale as well, both online and at your next event.
