Three days – three races – discover Melbourne from a new point of view! City Races are long distance events in sprint style – complex urban areas, short legs, lots of direction changes and route choice – but over 3-10 km. They feature colour maps at sprint scale, and Sportident/SI Air punching. The Melbourne City Race venues will be easily accessible by public transport. Don’t miss the chance to say “I was there in 2019!” Melbourne City Race venue confirmed – Docklands will host the first MCR! During your race, you’ll see Melbourne’s old and new maritime precincts including Waterfront City, Victoria Harbour and Southbank; a fantastic mix of historic, modernist, and downright quirky. En route, you may visit the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel, Marvel Stadium, the Aquarium, Crown Casino, Ponyfish Island, the many bridges that span the Yarra, and much more! The arena is a 5 minute walk from Southern Cross Station, and has a tram stop adjacent. Our two supporting race venues are waiting on confirmation, but they will both be in the inner suburbs, on public transport routes a short distance from the CBD. Distances – a GUIDE TO COURSES is now available, giving you info about what to expect (approximately) for each race. You can choose your own course to suit. SI Air (SIAC) punching will be enabled for the three races. Online entries will open on Eventor in mid June. Start planning now!
