Follow Aislinn and Patrick at WOC

Aislinn Prendergast and Patrick Jaffe are flying the Victorian flag as members of the Australian team contesting the World Championships in Switzerland. You can also cheer for honorary (resident) Vics Caitlin Young and Brodie Nankervis.  Follow all the action at the WOC Live Centre as they compete in the Middle Distance, Long Distance, and Forest Relay events in Flims Laax, between July 13 and 16.

WELCOME

Patrick competed in the Middle Distance event, and missed out on the Final (first 15 in each heat) by just 2 seconds!  Very disappointing, but also very encouraging with a top-third finish.  Patrick was also second leg runner in the Mens Relay, while Aislinn ran in the Womens Relay team. By all accounts this was one of the most physically challenging World Championships ever staged, and congratulations are in order for anyone managing to complete the courses – it’s worth having a look at some of the maps via the link above.
