Learn To Orienteer (LTO) Program Learn to Orienteer (LTO) Program Orienteering is an adventure sport the whole family can enjoy! Orienteering can take place anywhere, from urban areas, parks and schools to the forest and countryside. There are orienteering courses and events everywhere – on your doorstep or further afield – helping you to discover new places. Learn to Orienteer is an introductory program for all ages, with a focus on developing orienteering skills. Each session will involve fun learning activities, followed by a short orienteering course. The program covers: Skills for navigating Using a compass Orienteering map symbols (and reading the map) Participating in fun navigation games Upcoming Programs! Join our team! This is a casual role perfect for someone who thrives in an active, sports-oriented environment (parks and bushlands). You will organise and promote an engaging Learn to Orienteer program in Victoria, or provide coaching at these events to drive enthusiastic participation. You will welcome all participants, support and help them, and create a fun spirit during events. All materials and resources will be provided. This work will be as programs occur throughout the year, with programs currently planned for the MelBushO season, with other programs to be confirmed throughout the year. You will have the ability to choose which programs you would like to assist with. Lead coaches will be paid approximately $42 per hour, and assisting coaches $35/hour.
