Victoria’s Circuit Breaker Lockdown Ends; Orienteering Resumes from Thursday Feb 18

The circuit breaker lockdown has finished, and outdoor community sport is free to resume from February 18, under the same restrictions as prior to February 13 (ie groups of up to 100 are permitted). However, until at least Friday February 26:

  • Face masks must be worn OUTSIDE as well as inside, if 1.5m distance cannot be maintained
  • Public gatherings of more than 20 are not permitted

For all events between February 18 and February 26:

  • All participants, volunteers, spectators and other non-competing attendees must wear a mask before they start, carry a mask when competing, and wear it after finishing
  • Do not gather in groups of more than 20, before and after competing.  Follow the arrive-compete-depart principle
  • Otherwise, all measures that were in place before February 13 remain in place

REMINDER: ALL ATTENDEES, INCLUDING VOLUNTEERS AND NON-COMPETING ATTENDEES, MUST PROVIDE THEIR NAME AND PHONE NUMBER. Full record keeping is a requirement for our sport to continue operating.
