Victorian MTBO Series Round 2 at Castlemaine

Lots of “Ups and Downs” on Sunday’s Victorian MTBO Series Round 2 at Castlemaine

Thanks to some challenging courses set by Kate Gavens and Tom Lothian, MTBO riders thrived in the cool, dry conditions at Castlemaine on Sunday. The complex single-track network (originally mapped by Peter Hill) made riders make several navigation decisions on each leg of the 4 courses plus a Scatter. Winners on the day: C1 Carolyn Jackson (BK), C2 Ed Steenbergen (CH), C3 John Gavens (BK), C4 Ralph Koch (YV), and Scatter Tania Elderkin (BK) scored the maximum 100 points. Standings in the Vic MTBO Series after Round 2 are attached.
