Vic MTBO Series Current Standings After Eumerella

Sea views, dedicated single track, spring and a week after Melbourne Cup – where else would you want to be?

Here are the standings after our wonderful ‘day in the sun’ at Anglesea. Thanks to the Bayside team (particularly Tom, the Cusworths and the Gavens) for running the event – and particularly doing such a good job on the weather!  Results show double the normal numbers for what has been a wet and cold year.

The winners of some classes have been “done and dusted” but others will depend on the placings in the final event.  Winners (best 3 races total) are grinners and will have their ‘picture in the frame’ ….

  • Course 1 Men – Ricky Thackray (BK) 300,  though Ed Steenbergen (CH) could tie with a win at Saligari
  • Course 1 Women – Carolyn Jackson (BK) 300
  • Course 2 Men – Stephen Hanlon (CH) 300
  • Course 2 Women – Maya Bennette (YV) 295
  • Course 3 Men – up for grabs from 3 or 4 riders (John G (BK), Ralph K (YV), Brad S (BK), Leigh P (AW))
  • Course 3 Women – Heather Leslie (BK) 291
  • Course 4 Men – up for grabs from Ray S (DR) and Blake G (EU)
  • Course 4 Women – still undecided – with Carolyn C (BK) and Ella Maya Lang (YV) still in the frame
  • Course 5 Score – undecided with 1 to go – either Tash Thackray (BK) or Aleisha Bald (BK)

The final Newstead round will now be held on Sunday 4th December. Organised by Nillumbik Emus club, the event will use the Saligari-Sandon Forest map. Hopefully Victoria has dried enough by then!! More details and entry via Eventor.
