Summer Series Up and Running – Here’s How It Works (Updated Jan 1 2021)

Victoria has moved into its “Covid Safe Summer”, and the good news for orienteering is that we can have groups of up to 100, so we can cater for more of you.  As of January 1, there is no requirement to pre-enter, and signup sheets are no longer in use. If allowed outdoor gathering numbers are reduced again, online pre-entry will be reinstated.

Visiting or returned from interstate? Please comply with Victorian government restrictions for interstate travellers. If you are required to isolate as a result of interstate travel, you must not attend a Victorian orienteering event. Refer to https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus

From 1 January 2021:

  • No online pre-entry required; enter at the event
  • Check in and start between 6.30pm and 6.55pm; LAST START AT 7PM.
  • Use your phone to check in and check out via QR code.
  • Show your check in confirmation screen at Registration in order to receive a map.
  • If you don’t have a Pass, pay by cash – correct change only.  NOTES PREFERRED OVER COINS PLEASE.
  • Talk to us about a MULTIPASS 10 – faster and safer! You can buy or renew securely online from home, and leave the cash behind. Email voaATiinet.net.au to request a payment link.
  • MapRun is used at all events. Cards/pens optional at Monday and Wednesday events.
  • After collecting your map, go straight to the Start.
  • Power Walkers have 65 minutes; late penalties apply.
  • Courses close at 8.15pm for Runners.
  • Report to Registration after finishing, and remember to check out via QR code before leaving.

Please read the New and Improved Participant Guidelines, updated as at January 1 2021– your key to a safe and enjoyable event.  Now with more tips for using QR codes; a handy Quick Guide diagram; and information on new rules for group sizes and face masks.
