Revisit Racecourse Creek This Weekend AWOC are putting on a treat for Regional Victorians this Sunday with an event on the high quality Racecourse Creek map in Beechworth – first used for the Oceania Middle Distance Championships last year. The terrain features plenty of interesting granite features, huge slabs of bare rock, some steeper parts and mostly good running. All courses visit “Telegraph Rock”, where Ned Kelly sympathisers warned Ned (9km away at his cave) by torch or mirror of police posse’s coming. To make the most of this iconic site of Australian history – at that control, dip once then wait a minute (minimum) and dip again and away. There will be a clock there. Wait less than a minute and you get a 5 min. penalty. Sunday 18/10/10 Starts from 10am. Course closure at 2pm. Four courses: 2.2km easy/moderate, 2.9km moderate, 3.7km hard, 4.5km hard and tough Pay by Direct Debit to AWOC (Details on Eventor), then email [email protected] with the your course of choice Full details (including COVID-safe procedures for this event) are available on Eventor.
