Phil Torode is Legendary; David Knight makes 750

Phil Torode became the 46th Legend member of The Millennium Club, having completed his 1000th event since the start of the millennium.  Phil received his badge at Camberwell on January 17 2018, to mark the occasion; he will be presented with his certificate and key ring at the Awards Night in March.  Phil is not only an accomplished runner and power walker, but he sets great courses – winning Course Setter of the Year several years ago – and is always ready to help out in whatever way he can.  He is never short of a tall tale or two either!

At the same event, David Knight achieved the milestone of 750 events, upgrading his Millennium Club membership to Companion.  David is also a pretty handy runner, who likes to turn his hand to course setting, and who is also club president of Bayside Kangaroos – though some would say his choice of football team is dubious!  Congratulations to Phil and Dave on their achievements.
