Park Street Summer Season Final Week

Another summer has almost gone, but there’s plenty to look forward to over the next 6 months.  We have a full program of Monday, Wednesday and Saturday events, along with shorter Tuesday Western and Thursday Geelong series for those on that side of town.   For those doing night events this week, you will probably be returning in darkness.  Please remember to charge up your torch batteries, and make sure you wear light, bright or fluoro clothing – keep yourself safe, avid injuries, and make yourself visible to others.

The popular SATURDAY PARK SERIES, introduced last year, expands to 9 events this year, with several new colour maps, and controls predominantly in parkland. Perfect for newcomers and families, and for anyone wanting a bit more colour in their life!  We also have 11 regular events on black and white maps, and two longer EndurO events.   Check out coming events here.

Party time!  Our AWARDS NIGHT is next Wednesday April 3, at Maroondah Triangle. We’ll kick things off with a fun, informal Score event for everyone, with earlier finish times.  Stay on for a delicious BBQ (and yummy apple crumble), and celebrate the end of summer, as we present the Monday and Wednesday series prizes, the Course Setter of the Year, the Millennium Club Legends, and the Park Street Champs medallions.  Tuesday and Thursday series will have their own presentation nights next week.

SEASON TICKETS will be on sale to OV members, from April 6 until just after Easter.  These are priced at $90 for Monday and Wednesday series (26 weeks each) and $75 for Saturdays (22 weeks) – a massive saving of up to $40!  Look out for Steven O’Connell (he’s at every event!) and pay by cash, cheque made out to Dandenong Ranges Orienteering Club, or bank transfer.  At those prices, it’s well worth joining a club.  Here’s how
