Update for Orienteering Events, as at June 21

EVENTS FROM JUNE 21 ONWARDS

Here is the freshly updated OV Calendar, as at June 14.

Please note the revised OV Notice of Temporary Restrictions and Additional Measures, in place for June 18-24. This will be updated again as restrictions ease further.

Park Street Series

Competitive Park Street events resumed from Saturday June 19, and continue this week at Tunstall Junction on Monday, and MitchelHill on Wednesday.  Our first EndurO for two years will be on Saturday June 26 at High Hampton, and the next Mornington Peninsula Sunday event is on June 27 at Tootgarook. Season Passes purchased for Autumn Series will be extended to cover the number of competitive events cancelled per series; the second selling period for Spring Series passes will begin in late July.  Tuesday Pass holders will be able to use a Free Pass for one event in another Series, including Geelong and Mornington Peninsula.

“Best of” scores for each series will be adjusted; Monday and Wednesday Autumn Series become best 6 of 10 events; Saturday Series becomes best 11 of 20 events. Monday and Wednesday prizes will be handed out during the first week of July.

Bendigo Saturday Bush Events

Bendigo events resumed from June 19, and will continue as fixture. Online entry is strongly preferred; enter with Eventor.

Ballarat Winter Series 1, Nerrina North

You MUST pre-enter and pre-pay online for this event; no entry on the day will be offered.  Entries are open now, and will remain open until Friday June 25.   Click here for more information about this event.

EVENTS FROM JUNE 11-17

Park Street in Training Mode

Park Street resumes in metro Melbourne as restrictions gradually ease.  There are free training sessions on offer.  Numbers are restricted to 10 per group, and 100 per venue.  You can participate at sessions within your 25 km limit.  More information

In Geelong, you can complete the West Park course any time between Wednesday June 16 and Sunday June 20.  The map will be released on Tuesday evening.   More information

Free Bush Training in Melbourne and Bendigo

Westerfolds Park – get in some practice on any of three Line courses or a 1 hour Score course – download maps here for anytime use

Mosquito Creek in Bendigo will go ahead as a free training session, with courses available any time Saturday June 12 and Sunday June 13.  More info and maps to download.

EVENTS PLANNED BETWEEN MAY 27 AND JUNE 10

BUSH EVENTS

  • Glenlyon, Sunday May 30 – RESCHEDULED to Sunday August 1 (replaces MelBushO at Tye Estate). Entry fees paid can be held over to new date, or refunded if you are unable to attend.
  • Victorian Relays, Sunday June 6 – RESCHEDULED to Sunday October 10.
  • Eppalock 3 Day Weekend – POSTPONED/RESCHEDULED as follows:

Day 1 Mosquito Creek – free training session, June 12-13.

Day 2 Eppalock – rescheduled to Sunday September 19. Will be the final event in the Vic Spring Series.

Day 3 Eppalock Hagaby – rescheduled for Saturday October 9; part of a great new double header weekend in Heathcote, with the Club Relays on the Sunday.

Events in regional Victoria can go ahead from June 4, as training events for adults, and competitive events for juniors.  Group size is limited to 10 per group, and 50 per event.  Residents of metro Melbourne CANNOT ATTEND.

PARK STREET events planned for the period of May 31-June 9 are available in MapRun for anytime use.  These include Balwyn Central, Smiths Dell (Hawthorn), Rooks Run (Nunawading/Mitcham), Harvey Heights (The Basin).
