Orienteering Makes Long Awaited Comeback in Regional Victoria This Weekend!

Events in regional Victoria are resuming, with the first on this Saturday September 19, at Mt Korong near Bendigo.  The number of participants is strictly limited, and you must pre-enter on Eventor.

  • You must stay home if unwell, if waiting for test results, or if instructed to do so by health authorities, eg you have a positive test result or are a close contact of a positive case.
  • You must wear a face covering when outside your vehicle, unless you are competing on the course (ie between Start and Finish). You must carry a face covering when on the course, and wear it if you are walking and not out of breath/puffing, or cannot stay physically distanced.
  • You will be allocated to a group of 10.  You MUST not interact with anyone outside your group of 10 (apart from volunteers) either before you start or after you finish, and you must arrive, register and start within your allocated time frame.
  • Avoid car pooling, and if travelling through metro Melbourne, do not stop unless essential.

All participants must read and follow the Participant Guidelines for Orienteering Events in Regional Victoria Step 3

From September 17, organised orienteering activities and events can take place in regional Victoria, with restrictions on group size and other limits. The Return to Sport Plan is now updated to reflect these restrictions, and all events and activities must operate accordingly.  Sport must be outdoor, non contact, and in separated groups of no more than 10 per group.
