Easter Orienteering at Abbey Walk, Saturday March 31

For anyone in Melbourne over Easter, come orienteering this Saturday afternoon at Abbey Walk in Vermont.  The map is partly colour; many controls are “off road”, and we promise not to send you to the very top of the hill.  While you will need to climb a bit, you’ll also explore the creekside and Eastlink trails and wetlands, as well as picturesque Campbells Croft (aka “The Gallop Hill”).  The start location is at the southern end of Abbey Walk, where the road runs out.  Please park on the east side (ie park side) only – and bring cake!

There is a mass start at 2pm for all runners and power walkers.  Runners choose from a 60 minute or 45 minute option, while power walkers have 60 minutes.  Visit as many of the 20 controls as you can to score points, and return before your time runs out!  Entry: $5 adults, $2 if you’re under 21.  Enquiries: 0409 135 020.
