Back in the right direction: Entries open for the Victorian Schools Orienteering Championships May 7 South Morang Orienteering Victoria is delighted to announce that the Victorian Schools Orienteering Championships will be back on in 2021, on May 7th at Hawkstowe Recreation Reserve in South Morang. This is the first official trial for selection for the Victorian Schools Orienteering team who will compete in the National Schools Championships and Australian Orienteering Championships in the term 3-4 break in Tasmania. For those who haven’t orienteered before, Orienteering Victoria is providing further opportunities for schools and students to prepare for the event: A coaching session at 9:30 am on the event day to provide some basic tips – free of charge. Prior training or coaching at your school earlier in Term 2 – costs negotiable with OV. Access to the new national secondary school resource kit that you can use to prepare attendees prior to the event – free of charge. OV is urging any current members to encourage your school to attend, or reach out to any schools in your area who you think may be interested.
