A Great Start to Summer 75 MTBO at the You Yangs

We had an excellent turnout for the first Summer 75 MTBO at the You Yangs. Lots of enthusiastic riders, including a good number of first timers, took to the tracks to explore the Kurrajong plantation. It was a perfect morning for riding and we trust that everyone had an enjoyable time. It was fantastic to see a number of younger riders and families taking part.

Nine riders managed to complete the entire course within the time, with Luke Haines fastest in 58:16. Carolyn Jackson was fastest woman completing all controls in 68:27.

A big thank you to Heather Leslie and John Gavens who organised and set the event, and to Greg Tamblyn who looked after the Sportident timing and computer entry system. Also thanks to all of the Bayside Kangaroos helpers on the day.  The team working on the BBQ did a great job and even sold out of cheese toasties!

A reminder that the next event in the series is at Lysterfield on February 2, but will be a Saturday evening event starting at 6:00 pm.

Lysterfield is another great Mountain Bike Park for this type of event with some fantastic trails and tracks to explore. Hope to see you all there.
