Central Highlands Summer Series, Wednesday Evenings in November-December

The Central Highlands Twilight Orienteering Series is back! Explore a different town in the Macedon Ranges each week, on a series of score courses.

You will have up to 60 mins to find as many control locations on a map as possible. Each control is worth a variety of points, and there are time penalties if you exceed the time limit. The person with the highest score in each category will win. Categories include: power walkers, runners, junior and seniors.

• No previous experience is necessary, coaching provided and all fitness levels welcome.
• Compete individually or in a team, it is up to you!
• Registration from 6.00pm, with starts from 6.30pm to 7.00pm – courses close 8pm

Score courses will enable flexibility for course setters and competitors to avoid areas that are wet underfoot following the spring rains. Coloured maps will help competitors to choose the best way around hills and thicker vegetation. Most of the courses will be in parklands, with longer courses requiring route choices in surrounding roads. SI timing will be used, with results and splits printed.

Please check for late changes to start areas in the event of heavy rain. The catchments on both sides of the Great Dividing Range have undergone a pattern of rapid rises and falls over the past two months.
