The SILVA Victorian Primary School Orienteering Championships

Primary Schools championships are held in November each year in the following areas:

Bendigo Area	Friday early June	Competitions are held in major parkland areas. Open to all Primary Students from Grade 3 to Grade 6 inclusive. Term 1 – February and March 2009

The SILVA Inter School Park/Street Challenge

Open to both Primary and Secondary students.
Takes place every Wednesday evening in the Melbourne Eastern Suburbs - for 4 weeks during February + March 2009 .
Courses available A (10km), B (8km), C (6km), D (4.5km) E (3km)

Term 2 - Friday 16th May 2008

The SILVA Victorian Secondary Schools Orienteering Championships - Results

Students competed in cold but dry conditions at Bullengarook in age classes: 13, 14 ,15, 16 and open Course. Within each course there were classes for inexperienced and experienced competitors:

B ( for the inexperienced navigator)

Term 3 - Friday 15th August 2008

Victorian Schools Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships

Location: Macedon

This year the Schools mountain bike orienteering championships will be held in the Macedon forest.
A 2 hour score event should see close competition between the secondary school's in various age classes that cater for all competitors.
The Primary Schools will be competing for 100 minutes (1 hour 40 minutes) which should also see some tight competition.

Prepare yourself for event early by booking a training session today. Book now with the VOA Office on 03 8846 4140
The next Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships will be on Friday 15th August 2008 at Macedon north of Melbourne.

NB: no faxed or handwritten lists will accepted, unless for one/two name(s) only.

Term 3 - Sunday 14 Spetember 2008

The 3 hr Team Challenge 2008

Location: St.Georges Lake, Creswick.

This year the 3 hr Team Challenge will be held in the forest surounding St. Georges Lake, near Creswick. A 3 hour score event should see close competition between the schools in various age classes that cater for all competitors. Check back here for more details.
