What are Permanent Courses

The Victorian Orienteering Association and associated clubs have placed orienteering markers in a number of parks around Melbourne. Combined with high-quality maps of each area, these courses permit groups such as schools and clubs to run orienteering events with minimal effort. This page:

Obtaining Copies of the Latest Map

Be aware that permanent courses are subject to wear and tear and are maintained by orienteers and Parks Victoria staff. As a result of such maintenance and changes within the park, it is possible that older copies of a map may no longer be relevant. Consult the web page for each map to confirm what the latest version is, where to get a copy and approximate cost.
