Summer Series MTBO
Event #2 Panton Hills 28 Jan 2006

Weather played its part in the Panton Hills event too. Rain, storms and mist thoughout the day
in Melbourne, but by 6pm all was fine for the event although the humidity was quite tropical for
Melbourne.

38 riders explored the roads and tracks around Panton Hills with a variety of experiences.

Just riding to a check point was not enough as we had to answer a question there. Some people
even got on the incorrect road and rode right past check points without realising. One house had
changed its name, which meant we scratched our heads a bit trying to work out the correct answer.

No riders got all 15 controls. All in all another successful event with a new concept for MTBO.
Thanks to Peta Whitford with help from Cormac McCarthy for putting it on. At least they didn't
have to go out and pick up controls after the event.
