MTBO State Series Event #7
Albury Wodonga Orienteering Club
A Saturday MTBO event combined with two State League Foot O events over the Long Weekend meant that quite a few regular riders did not make the long trip north to Chiltern, but the numbers were well bolstered by local competitors, which was very good to see. Those that started early got the best conditions as the late comers encountered the rare, in these parts, phenomenon called rain.
Unfortunately the many single tracks in this area are out of bounds but there was plenty of good riding on fairly fast tracks and roads, except for the sandy bits.
Thanks to the Albury Wodonga Orienteering Club and especially to coursetter/organiser Alan Davis, who had the added problem of having his car breakdown while putting out the controls.
