Enduro at Altona Meadows - May 5

The first Sunday Special Enduro for Winter 2013 starts at Altona Meadows 10am May 5th on a new map using the Altona Meadows and Seabrook maps extended into the Sanctuary Lakes.

Score courses offered:
10am start.  2 hours duration.   Run and Walk classes.
10:30am start 75 mins duration.  Run and Walk classes.

Notification of intention to attend via Eventor would be appreciated.

 Brought to you by Nillumbik Emus and Bayside Kangaroos clubs this event will take you into areas not previously used for orienteering. The Start is only 16km from the CBD.

Follow the tracks through the Truganina Wetlands.

 

Spot a rare bird, or maybe one not so rare!

 

 Pause to admire the view of the CBD and the 300m Altona Pier behind the remnants of the explosives pier at the mouth of Laverton Creek.

 

 Follow the Bay Trail across the Laverton Creek

 

into Truganina Park to spot the spoonbill.

 

Then climb the 100 Steps for the view

 

of ships on the Bay and the Cheetham Wetlands

 

before the crossing of Skeleton Waterholes Creek

 

 into Sanctuary Lakes to meet the locals

Social Evening - Orienteering Fitness - February 10th Wednesday, 22 February 2012 40 orienteers and friends attended an informative and entertaining social evening on Feb 10th at 1st Bennetswood Scout Hall.
Final event of the Macedon Summer Series run at Riddells Creek Thursday, 16 February 2012 The final event of the Macedon Ranges Summer Series was held at Riddells Creek on 15-02-2012. A big attendance and presentations completed a very successful night.
