Nuggets win 2 divisions of the SILVA National Orienteering League

 Victoria Nuggets' Open Women
A fantastic result for our elite program in Victoria this year, winning 2 team divisions and 2 individual titles.
The Victoria Nuggets' Open Women built progressively on their lead on home ground at the end of the season. It was tight between the Nuggets and the Cockatoos early on in the season, but the absence of Allison Jones for most of the second half of the season left a hole that the Cockatoos were unable to fill and the Victorians took full advantage. The Tassie Foresters held third for much of the season, but were severely depleted at the end of the season and were overtaken by the consistent Queensland Cyclones.
The Victoria Nuggets took another title when a good final week saw them pull clear in a close junior men's competition.
The two junior classes in the SILVA National League featured winners from Victoria. Aislinn Prendergast and Belinda Lawford (ACT) finished in a dead heat. Max Neve’s Australian Championship wins saw him come from behind to take the title by seven points, and win the 2010 trip to Europe donated by SILVA for the best junior of the season.
